Week One (6/11 – 6/15): Welcome Week
New friends, new schedules, and so much more. Whether we are learning about world events and science advancements or popular art, literature, and music, it’s time to put on our ‘time travel gear’ and let the fun begin.

Week Two (6/18 – 6/22): Entering the 20th Century
“Beep, beep,” it’s time for the first automobile, computers, and Velcro to make their way into American society.

Week Three (6/25 – 6/29): 1940s to 1960s
The great ‘space race’ has begun! Elvis music and Jackson Pollock surround our camp rooms. We will create our very own ‘masterpieces’ and form our own ‘museum.’

Week Four (7/2, 7/3, 7/5, 7/6): “America the Beautiful…”
It’s time to celebrate American independence with a good old-fashioned picnic.

Week Five (7/9 – 7/13): 1960s
Man has landed on the moon! We will learn all about the ‘swinging sixties’ and ‘compose’ our own ‘rock n roll’ music.

Week Six (7/16 – 7/20): 1970s
It is time to celebrate our “first” Earth Day. Star Wars and ‘pop rock’ have taken hold and we will make our very own ‘lava lamps.

Week Seven (7/23 – 7/27): 1980s
It’s the age of Michael Jackson and Madonna. “Gaming” becomes popular, especially through the use of “Pac Man” and Nintendo. We will create our very own ‘games,’ and learn all about 80s fashion.

Week Eight (7/30 – 8/3): 1990s
Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are making a comeback – it’s time for our “Disney Renaissance.” We will learn all about weather patterns and ‘El Nino.'

Week Nine (8/6 – 8/10): 2000s
We are ‘going green.’ It is time to learn all about hybrid cars, recycling, and reusing materials. Children’s House will ‘crown’ its first ‘American Idol.’ ☺

Week Ten (8/13 – 8/16): ‘Life as we know it, today.’
It’s time to ‘wrap up’ our time travels, revisit our favorite times, and enjoy our ‘End of Summer’ picnic and fashion show.

* Each week focuses on a snapshot of popular children’s literature, music, art, historical events and scientific advancements that have shaped our nation’s people and history.
